Work-related Learning & Enterprise

Haworth and Associates fully endorse the DfES definition of enterprise capability: ‘innovation, creativity, risk management, and a can do attitude and with the drive to make ideas happen’.

They also support, and use, QCA's guidance framework on work-related learning and believe:

  • experiential learning is a powerful force for enabling young people to understand and learn effectively and is particularly appropriate to the field of enterprising learning.
  • work related learning encompasses enterprise learning and is a fundamental entitlement for every young person.
  • business and economically literate young people will make a fundamental contribution to the economic well being of the UK.
  • that enterprising and business & economically literate young people is one of the key aims of ‘Every Child Matters’.

Haworth and Associates understand very clearly, through extensive experience and everyday contact with the business community, the essential change which is sweeping through education in order to better engage and prepare our young people for the demands of future adult and working life.
